City Centre Local Bike Group Ride

Come out and join Bike Winnipeg’s City Centre local bike group on a ride that will meander through the City Council wards of Daniel McIntyre, River Heights-Fort Garry, and Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry showcasing some new cycling infrastructure and discussing some of Bike Winnipeg’s priorities for the area.

When: Saturday, September 16 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (with optional stop afterward at our Sargent bike valet)

Who: Anyone is welcome!

The ride will finish at the southwest corner of Sherbrook and Sargent (RBC Royal Bank branch), where Bike Winnipeg is providing a free, secure bike valet to support the West End BIZ’s ‘Saturdays on Sargent’ promotional program of special events. The bike valet will open an hour early that day to accommodate participants interested in leaving their bikes behind and touring the shops, taking in any special performances that day, or going to one of the many local restaurants for lunch. Participants can also leave at the end of the ride at 1:00 pm.

Please note, the ride will not be a complete loop back to the starting point. The route is planned along quiet streets and active transportation infrastructure as much as possible. An experienced ride leader and ride marshals will help ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable ride.

Tours will run as scheduled rain or shine but will be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm.

Remember to pack plenty of water and sunscreen. There will be no facilities accessible during the ride.
