Webinar – Planning for Facility Maintenance and Management Costs

Green Action Centre and Bike Winnipeg invite you to join us on Wednesday February 17th from 2pm to 3pm for a local viewing of the APBP webinar: Planning for Facility Maintenance and Management Costs.

The webinar viewing takes place in the EcoCentre boardroom (3rd floor, 303 Portage Ave) and will be followed by group discussion of local applications.RSVPs appreciated but not necessary. Hope to see you then!

Planning for Facility Maintenance and Management Costs

Explore design practices and construction techniques that can reduce the cost of maintaining pedestrian facilities. The session includes information on recommended design standards for sidewalk sub-grade and pavement depth and the life-cycle costs of different materials. A particular focus is street trees: learn about soil volume and best practices that reduce the impact of maturing trees on sidewalks while encouraging the life of the tree and intercepting and filtering stormwater.
