April 26th Public Works

IMPORTANT: Public Discussion – Public Works Committee
Councillor Lukes invites you to a discussion on Active Transportation & Road Safety, happening next weekend, April 26th at 9:30 AM at the RBC Convention Centre. She asked me to let you know that there will be a complimentary, secure Bike Valet available as well.
Who is this meeting for, and what is it all about?
This is a chance for you to see how the City plans to spend the promised 96 million dollars in active transportation in the next 6 years.  It’s also a chance to speak up about your concerns around road safety.
Councillor Lukes said there’s no need to sign up because there’s ample room, and I would LOVE to show her just how many of us are willing to show up to listen to what they have to say and voice our concerns for Active Transportation & Road Safety.
At the latest Public Works meeting, the changes on Wellington were delayed, and we still don’t have the residential speed reduction report that was supposed to have come out a year ago. I think this will be a GREAT opportunity to ask them for updates on both accounts. Will you join me?
You do not need to RSVP for this event, but if you would like an email reminder, please fill out this form. I look forward to seeing you all in person at the door, at the crack of 9 AM!
