Wens June 25th Art Ride

Winnipeg Art Council and Bike Winnipeg’s popular Art Rides take you out west this week! 

This tour will explore public art that considers moments, stories, and ideas that make us who we are:

We will visit the following works:

  • Agassiz Ice by Gordon Reeve
  • Leo Mol Sculpture Garden
  • Statues by Ivan Eyre
  • Petals in Perspective by PETAL (CoolGardens Project)
  • Indigenous Peoples Garden
  • Gathering Light, Gathering community by Sarah Crawley and South Valour Residents Association
  • Four Flowers by Michael Dumontier
  • From Here Until Now by spmb (Eduardo Aquino and Karen Shanski) at Osborne Bridge

The tour will run as scheduled rain or shine, but will be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm or poor air quality (AQI 7+). Tour routes are not a loop, but you can be marshalled back to the start if requested.

Remember to pack plenty of water and sunscreen. No facilities are accessible during this ride. The ride is free, but registration is required through the Winnipeg Arts Council.

When: Wednesday, June 25 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM

Location: Meet at the Agassiz Ice sculpture, north of the Assiniboine Park footbridge and south of Sargent Sundae
