Bike infrastructure builds stronger communities—it’s a low-cost, high-impact solution to affordability, housing, and health challenges.
In 2021, the federal government launched the $400 million Active Transportation Fund. Another $500 million was set aside in 2024, and communities across Canada applied. But these funds are now at risk following Budget 2025.
With the 2026 construction season approaching, delays could cost us an entire year of progress.
You can help:
Email your MP by Friday, March 13. Ask them to urge Minister Gregor Robertson to approve the funds immediately and protect the Active Transportation Fund.
