We want to let you know about the grand opening Councillor Santos is hosting for the newly finished Keewatin Street Active Transportation Corridor. Councillor Lukes will also be present.
The Grand Opening will be:
Wednesday, September 24 @ 10 am
The event will be set up directly in front of the new traffic lights near the Philippine-Canadian Centre of Manitoba (PCCM) and Billy Mosienko Arena. The event will be outside, but space has been reserved at PCCM in case of rain.
This new corridor is just the beginning! We are also advocating for exciting expansions to connect this pathway to the Oak Point/Westlands trail, creating a continuous route from Wellington Ave to Selkirk Ave.
These future phases will provide vital links to Tyndall Park Community Centre, local parks and pedestrian corridors, with the ultimate goal of building a safer, more connected network for cyclists and pedestrians across our northwest neighbourhoods.
